Finance Manager
Evergreen Trading Co., LLC and Albert Farms, Inc. are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations for our fast-paced freight brokerage, transportation, and warehousing businesses. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Potential hybrid arrangement
Following successful completion of onboarding and training, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered for the right candidate based on experience, performance, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support an accounting staff of two to three employees
- Process two multistate payrolls
- Manage period-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Maintain account reconciliations, cash flow, and general ledger activity
- Develop and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls
- Collaborate with company leadership on financial planning and operational matters
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience managing or supervising accounting staff
- Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in the transportation, freight brokerage, logistics, or warehousing industry is preferred but not required
